Welcome to ACM.

The ASOCIACION DE ARTE Y CULTURA MARBELLA is a private, non-profit initiative created in order to actively contribute to the support of arts and culture. Our aim is to bring together like minded people of all nationalities who wish to enjoy and support the exciting cultural wealth of Andalucia and beyond.

ACM was founded in September 2004 by Lorraine Powell (President) and Angela Behrendt and is a registered national non-profit institution funded by private sectors under Organic Law 1/2002 and Decree 152/2002. This entitles ACM to act as a legal entity. According to it’s Statutes, the institution´s aim is to promote, develop and perform social and cultural activities. By being created as a cultural management organization, a large part of it’s autonomy is based on own funding with direct membership income. We invite all persons and institutions who believe in the key role of culture to support us in this dialogue.

Since its inception ACM has gathered over 200 members of different nationalities including artists, concert pianists, writers and musicians who have all shared and enjoyed this common interest.

ACM has organised Concerts the first being with the The Berlin Philharmonic String Octet, various Piano and Violin Concerts and a Viennese Gala;

Cultural trips including a private guided tour of the Picasso Museum in Malaga; Cordoba – Patios in May; Ruta de la Plata – The Roman Route; Russia – Moscow and St.Petersburg; El Rocio and The Donana Park; White Villages of Andalucia; Ronda Wine Tasting; Caviar Farming and Tasting in Rio Frio; Domecq Finca “Abierta”.

Music Festivals: Jerez–Flamenco Festival; Fez, Morocco - Sacred Music Festival; Granada – International Music and Dance Festival; Opera Festival in Verona; ; Lectures on various subjects –“Andalucia and its Patrimony”; “Malaga and its Cultural Infrastructure; Introduction to Modern Art – Matisse & The Fauves.

As a cultural group, we support and attend many activities organised by other entities.

Apart from their own organised events, ACM also provides it’s members with a monthly Newsletter and Programme of Events of selected cultural activities and invitations to galleries and other events.

There is a ACM COCKTAIL held the first Wednesday of every month and we also organise MONTHLY DINNERS at selected restaurants with the best food and wine at unbeatable prices.

ACM invites and welcomes any interested parties to join them at their monthly cocktail at Magna Café, Magna Marbella Golf, Nueva Andalucia the first Wednesday of each month. 8-10 pm.
